This section assesses word usage, grammar application, and sentence construction through the following topics:

  • Idioms & Phrases
  • Homonyms & Homophones
  • Synonyms & Antonyms
  • Grammar Topics:
    • Nouns, Pronouns, Verbs, Phrasal Verbs
    • Adverbs, Adjectives
    • Articles, Prepositions, Conjunctions
    • Punctuation & Sentence Formation
    • Tenses (Past, Present, Future – Active & Passive Voice)
    • Direct & Indirect (Reported) Speech

Section 2: Reading Comprehension (Information Retrieval)

Students will need to extract, interpret, and analyze information from various text types. Topics include:

  • Searching for and retrieving information from:

  • Understanding information in:

This section evaluates real-life English communication skills based on different scenarios. Topics include:
